Ryder Moves into NASCAR with First Truck Series Sponsorship
Ryder is stepping into the NASCAR world by sponsoring the No. 33 Ryder Ford F-150 for Reaume Brothers Racing and driver Frankie Muniz in the 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
The No. 33 and Ford truck hold a special meaning for Ryder, paying tribute to the company’s beginnings in 1933 when Jim Ryder started the business in Miami with a single Ford Model-A pickup. Now, over 90 years later, Ryder makes its motorsports debut, showcasing its brand on a high-performance Ford F-150 driven by Muniz in one of the most popular racing series globally.
“As one of the largest commercial truck fleet owners in North America, we see great business potential in teaming up with a NASCAR truck driver,” says Stephanie Wicky, Ryder’s vice president of marketing.
She highlights that Muniz exemplifies hard work, determination, and a pursuit of excellence—values that align with Ryder’s brand and resonate with its customers, especially in the commercial truck rental and leasing sectors.
Although Muniz is the face of the sponsorship, Ryder acknowledges the behind-the-scenes efforts of professionals who make racing possible—similar to its 5,000 highly skilled truck technicians across North America who ensure Ryder’s and its customers’ fleets stay on the road.
This partnership also ties into Ryder’s dedication to technician excellence, celebrating top achievements in fleet maintenance.
Additionally, NASCAR’s emphasis on vehicle innovation aligns with Ryder’s mission to enhance fleet technology, maintenance solutions, and sustainability—ensuring future trucks become even safer, more efficient, and more reliable.
“NASCAR, like Ryder, prioritizes safety, innovation, and the expertise of the drivers and technicians who keep these vehicles running at peak performance,” says Tom Havens, president of Fleet Management Solutions at Ryder.
He adds that the partnership is a natural fit, not just because of the vehicles but also due to the shared values between Ryder and NASCAR. Muniz’s dedication and determination reflect the same principles that have driven Ryder for over 90 years, and the company is excited to see the No. 33 Ryder Ford F-150 compete.
Muniz expresses his enthusiasm for representing Ryder, a company with a strong history in trucking and logistics.
“The connection between NASCAR and Ryder makes perfect sense—both thrive on innovation, performance, and the teamwork behind the scenes that makes it all possible,” he says.
He looks forward to driving the No. 33 Ryder Ford F-150 and competing at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
