In the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season, Hooters signed a deal to be the main sponsor for Chase Elliott in three races while also serving as an associate sponsor.

The sponsorship agreement was valued at $1.75 million.

However, in July, Hendrick Motorsports ended the contract early due to Hooters’ failure to fulfill its payment obligations.

The lawsuit against Hooters was filed by HMS Holdings LLC.

Hendrick Motorsports took legal action last year, seeking $1.705 million in unpaid sponsorship funds.

The dispute has now been resolved, with Hooters agreeing to settle by paying $900,000, according to a report from Bob Pockrass.

Hooters first partnered with Hendrick Motorsports in the 2017 season.

For the 2025 season, Chase Elliott has a new sponsor, Amazon Prime Video, which will back the No. 9 car in three races. Other key sponsors include NAPA Auto Parts, UniFirst, Kelley Blue Book, and Lumar.
