Two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch announced on social media Sunday night that he would be making an important announcement on Monday evening.

The announcement is scheduled for 6:51 p.m. ET (18:51 military time).

Busch did not provide any details, leading fans to speculate about its significance.

The numbers 18 and 51 seem intentional, as Busch specifically chose this time and used military format rather than the standard 6:51 p.m. ET.

These numbers were central to Kyle Busch Motorsports during their time with Toyota in the Truck Series from 2010 to 2022.

In 2023, Kyle Busch Motorsports transitioned to Chevrolet after Busch himself moved from Joe Gibbs Racing to Richard Childress Racing, leaving Toyota behind.

So far in the 2025 Cup Series season, Busch is tied for the final playoff position, sitting in 16th place in the standings after six races.

His best result this year was a fifth-place finish at Circuit of the Americas (COTA), where he led the most laps.

Busch recently raced in the Truck Series event at Atlanta Motor Speedway for Spire Motorsports and secured a victory. He has four more Truck Series starts scheduled for this season, having competed in the maximum five races allowed for full-time Cup drivers last year, winning twice in 2024.

The 39-year-old from Las Vegas, Nevada, holds the record for most Truck Series wins with 67 and is also the all-time leader in Xfinity Series wins with 102.

With 63 Cup Series victories, Busch is the winningest driver in NASCAR national series history, accumulating 232 total wins across all three series.

His last Xfinity Series win came in 2021 when he won all five of his final starts with Joe Gibbs Racing. In 2024, he experienced his first winless season as a full-time Cup driver, ending a record-setting 19-year winning streak.

Busch’s most recent Cup Series victory was in June 2023 at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway.
