2026 NASCAR Hall of Fame Class Announced

The NASCAR Hall of Fame has revealed its 2026 inducteesn, selecting Kurt Busch, Harry Gant, and Ray Hendrick during Tuesday’s vote.Kurt Busch and Harry Gant were chosen from the Modern Era Ballot, each receiving 61% of the votes.

    • Busch, a first-ballot inductee, is the only Cup Series champion among this year’s Modern Era nominees. He tallied 34 Cup wins, claiming victories with five teams and four manufacturers—a unique feat in NASCAR history. Highlights include wins at the 2017 Daytona 500, 2010 Coke 600, and 2010 All-Star Race. His career ended following a crash at Pocono in 2022.
    • Gant, known as “Mr. September,” holds the record as the oldest Cup race winner at 52 years and eight months. With 18 Cup wins, he drove the iconic No. 33 Skoal Bandit and was the 1984 Cup runner-up. His career includes four consecutive Cup wins and two Southern 500 victories (1984, 1991).Ray Hendrick, selected from the Pioneer Ballot with 31% of the vote, is remembered as the original “Mr. Modified.” He amassed over 700 wins across Modified and Late Model divisions, including 20 at Martinsville Speedway. Hendrick was honored as one of NASCAR’s 50 Greatest Drivers (1998) and again in the 75 Greatest (2023).Humpy Wheeler, legendary promoter and innovator, was honored with the Landmark Award for his impactful contributions to the sport.

The Class of 2026 Induction Ceremony will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, at the NASCAR Hall of Fame and Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
