Darlington Raceway is set to host its first of two NASCAR Cup Series races this Sunday with the Goodyear 400, the eighth race on the 2025 regular season schedule. As the historic 1.366-mile egg-shaped track in South Carolina is also set to kick off the playoffs later in the year, drivers and teams will be eager to gain valuable experience and momentum.

All 36 full-time drivers are expected to race in their usual chartered entries for the 293-lap event, but four changes have been made to this weekend’s entry list.

Four notable entry list updates for Darlington:

  1. Richard Childress Racing is fielding a third car for the first time this season. Full-time Xfinity Series driver Austin Hill will pilot the No. 33 Chevrolet, a move RCR has occasionally made in past seasons.
  2. NY Racing Team returns for its third start of the year, with veteran driver J.J. Yeley driving the No. 44 Chevrolet. Yeley previously competed at Atlanta and Homestead but did not qualify for the Daytona 500.
  3. Team AmeriVet and Garage 66 (MBM Motorsports), which made their season debuts at Martinsville with Burt Myers and Casey Mears, respectively, will not compete at Darlington.
  4. As a result, there will be two non-chartered (open) entries in the field: Austin Hill’s No. 33 and J.J. Yeley’s No. 44.

In total, 38 drivers are set to compete in Sunday’s Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway.
