Logitech Turns Virtual NASCAR Partnership Into Reality With Bubba Wallace

Bubba Wallace and 23XI Racing will showcase a new look at the upcoming NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway. Logitech, which partnered with Wallace in 2021, will be the featured sponsor on his No. 23 Toyota. Notably, the car’s paint scheme—originally designed for the virtual 2022 eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series—will now appear on the real track for the first time.

Wallace, a long-time gamer and sim racing enthusiast, reflected on his connection to Logitech, recalling how he started with a Logitech wheel. He said the partnership felt natural and praised Logitech’s continued innovation in sim racing products, which closely mimic real-world racing. He highlighted the significance of turning a digital design into a real car, a reversal of the usual trend where drivers start virtually before racing on track.

Logitech G, which also partners with Amazon Prime, plans to release new content ahead of Prime Video’s NASCAR debut for the Coca-Cola 600. This content will feature Wallace and 23XI’s Airspeed facility, underscoring their joint dedication to performance and innovation.

Cory Church, Logitech’s head of gaming in North America, emphasized how their TRUEFORCE feedback technology bridges the gap between virtual and real racing, enhancing driver training and making motorsports more accessible. He noted that their collaboration with Wallace aligns with their commitment to realism and performance and hinted at future innovations aimed at benefiting racers and fans alike.

Though Wallace hasn’t won an All-Star Race, he placed second in last year’s All-Star Open and finished sixth in the main event. He expressed excitement about the upcoming race, saying the relaxed nature of the event makes it a good opportunity to try new strategies. He also highlighted the value of virtual racing as an accessible entry point for newcomers to motorsports, helping them understand and appreciate the challenges of real-world racing.

The NASCAR All-Star Race is scheduled for Sunday, May 18, on Fox Sports 1.
