NASCAR handed out multiple suspensions and penalties following the race weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Both the No. 8 team from Richard Childress Racing (driven by Kyle Busch) and the No. 19 team from Joe Gibbs Racing (driven by Chase Briscoe) will be without their jackmen and rear tire changers for the next two races after their wheels detached during the Pennzoil 400.
No. 8 Team: Jackman Dylan Moser and rear tire changer Shiloh Windsor
No. 19 Team: Jackman Caleb Dirks and rear tire changer Daniel Smith
For the upcoming two races, the No. 8 team will use replacement crew members Chris Jackson (rear tire changer) and Garrett Crall (jackman), who typically work with Viking Motorsports and Our Motorsports in the Xfinity Series.
Since Joe Gibbs Racing supplies pit crew members to Front Row Motorsports’ No. 4 car (driven by Noah Gragson), that team will receive replacements as well. Rear tire changer Adam Riley and jackman Nathan McBride will step in from that rotation.
In the Xfinity Series, four teams were fined $5,000 each for having a single loose lug nut after Saturday’s LiUNA 300:
No. 11 Kaulig Racing Chevrolet (Josh Williams)
No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota (Aric Almirola)
No. 26 Sam Hunt Racing Toyota (Dean Thompson)
No. 88 JR Motorsports Chevrolet (Connor Zilisch)
In the Truck Series, one team was penalized $2,500 for the same issue following Friday’s Ecosave 200:
No. 07 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet (Justin Haley)
Additionally, NASCAR suspended two crew members under its Substance Abuse Policy: Jo Wright, formerly a tire changer for RFK Racing’s No. 6 team, and Corbin Sklener, a tire carrier for Mike Harmon Racing in the Truck Series.
As a result, Coleman Dollarhide has taken over Wright’s role for RFK’s No. 6 team, starting with last weekend’s race at Las Vegas.
