Yeah, NASCAR’s approval process has always been murky, and this situation with Katherine Legge just adds more fuel to the fire. Letting her run in the Cup Series with almost no oval experience while denying guys like Tommy Joe Martins and Mike Wallace doesn’t make a lot of sense.

Legge is obviously a talented road racer, but throwing her into a Cup race at Phoenix without recent oval experience was asking for trouble. Meanwhile, Martins, who has years of NASCAR experience—albeit in underfunded equipment—can’t even get approval? It’s hard not to see a double standard here.

This kind of inconsistency makes it look like NASCAR picks and chooses based on factors beyond just talent and experience. It’s frustrating for fans, especially when these decisions directly impact the outcome of races, like Suarez’s top-five shot getting wiped out. Do you think NASCAR will ever fix this approval mess, or is this just how it’s always going to be?
