NY Racing Team, which recently fielded the No. 44 Chevrolet for J.J. Yeley at Homestead-Miami Speedway, finishing 35th, is not listed on the entry list for this Sunday’s Cook Out 400 at Martinsville Speedway. Instead, the two open (non-chartered) entries are the No. 50 Chevrolet for Team AmeriVet, driven by Burt Myers, and the No. 66 Ford for Garage 66, driven by Casey Mears.
The Cook Out 400 is scheduled for Sunday, March 30, 2025, at Martinsville Speedway in Ridgeway, Virginia. The race will cover 400 laps on the 0.526-mile short track, totaling 210.4 miles (338.8 kilometers). Broadcast coverage will begin at 3:00 p.m. ET on FS1, with Mike Joy, Clint Bowyer, and Kevin Harvick in the booth, and Jamie Little and Regan Smith reporting from pit road.
Martinsville Speedway, known for its tight turns and short straights, often leads to close-quarters racing and frequent caution periods. This presents unique challenges and opportunities for both seasoned drivers and newcomers.
As the season progresses, it remains to be seen when NY Racing Team will make their next appearance in the NASCAR Cup Series.
